With the increase of Agri-Plastics’ presence in the European agricultural market, we are pleased to introduce and welcome Noel Kelly, owner of Creva Consultancy, to our International Sales Team. He recently joined our company and will be looking after our European accounts.
Noel is an experienced International Sales and Marketing Consultant and also a partner in a 500 Cow Dairy in Ireland. Noel has worked all his life in Milk Production and the past 10 years in International agricultural products Sales & Marketing. His role within Europe and some developing markets is to support existing dealers, generate new business for them and also add new outlets in markets where required.

Front Feeding Door introduced.
Agri-Plastics new
Easy Front Feeding door moves the feeding buckets
outside. This unit is designed for our EXL Calf Hutch.
It works very well for feeding quickly. The bottle
holder is also located on the front left corner of the
calf hutch for easy access. An optional weather cover
is also available as shown below. When closed it keeps
the rain out and also the snow in the winter months.

DCHA Recognition Awards Presented....
Chesterfield, MO – At the Dairy Calf & Heifer Association’s Allied Industry Reception, held during World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wis., DCHA First Vice President Darin Mann presented DCHA's 2011 Outstanding Industry recognition awards to two worthy recipients, Darren VanBuuren, president and owner of Agri-Plastics of Grassie, Ontario, Canada, and Allin Butcher, director of sales and marketing for ROTO-MIX of Dodge City, Kan.
Mr. VanBuuren and his company, Agri-Plastics, saw the need to supply dairy calf and heifer growers with a quality line of calf hutches, group hutches, indoor calf pens and other products that not only saved time but also improved the health of the livestock.
For several decades, Mr. Butcher's company, ROTO-MIX, has been the premier livestock mixer and feeder equipment manufacturer, with multiple manufacturing facilities, retail locations and more than 150 dealers providing local sales and service in the U.S. ROTO-MIX also has sales in more than 35 international markets.
Thanks to Agri-Plastics' and ROTO-MIX's generous support over the last several years, DCHA has been able to continue to provide members and the industry with up-to-date information about raising quality dairy calves and heifers.
ROTO-MIX, Agri-Plastics and DCHA have similar philosophies in leadership and setting quality standards that help producers around the country become more successful in their business of raising high-quality dairy calves and heifers.

Calf Research Facility AT TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY
Study by Dr Michael A. Ballou
One hundred and sixty five Holstein dairy calves will be acquired from 2 large local commercial dairies and housed in Agri-Plastics calf hutches, indoor pens and group hutches. The objective of this study is to determine the influence of individual housing and group housing. The goal is to compare performance, health and the immune competence of pre-weaned dairy calves. Also future studies will be done on housing of wooding crates vs hutches and pens.
